Affiliate links, subscription & referral terms
This app is a planning simulator for educational use, not legal or financial advice — see the disclaimer on every generated document. This page covers the commercial terms behind the affiliate links, the subscription, and the referral program specifically.
Affiliate disclosure
After generating a document, we may show links to third-party solicitors or specialist services who can formalise it for real. Some of these are affiliate links — if you go on to use one of those services, we may earn a commission. This never costs you anything extra, and never affects which options are shown to you or how they're described.
Document generation is free
Every document generator (will, trust deed, shareholder agreement, deed of gift, succession plan, and any others added later) is free to use, whether or not you have a subscription. Nothing about generating a document is ever paywalled.
What the subscription is for
Legacy Protector Plus is an optional, cancel-anytime subscription. It doesn't gate document generation itself — every generator stays free either way. What it does unlock, all shown here in the app rather than by email or any other channel:
- Alerts when a strategy you haven't turned on could reduce your tax bill
- Alerts when a UK Inheritance Tax law or regulation change affects your plan
- Alerts when something's changed that means a document you've generated may need updating
Referral program
Every subscriber gets a personal referral link. For each other person you refer who signs up and keeps an active Legacy Protector Plus subscription, you're credited £1/month off your own subscription, up to a maximum of 4 active referrals (£4/month equivalent). A referral only counts while both you and the person you referred hold an active subscription — it stops counting the moment either subscription lapses or is cancelled, and resumes if it's reactivated.
This isn't applied as a live discount to your PayPal billing. Instead, it's reimbursed annually, in arrears, based on your referrals' status over the preceding year. The credit has no cash value beyond the stated reimbursement, and isn't transferable or redeemable for anything other than a reduction against your own subscription cost.
